How to: Add text to a text object.
Solution:
Select the text object, move the I-beam cursor to the desired insertion point, and type the text.
1) Select the desired text object. (A selection box appears around the text object, and a blinking I-beam cursor appears.)

2) Move the I-beam cursor to the desired insertion point. (A blinking insertion point appears.)
3) Type the desired text.
4) Click outside the selection box to deselect the text object.
